Your Italy experience is based in the capital city of Rome. Transfer from FCO airport by train or taxi (flight and transportation is at your own expense, but we’ll assist you with all arrangements).  Then check into your hotel by 3 pm (early arrival upon request).

Stroll through the Prati neighborhood, cross Ponte St. Angelo or walk to St. Peter’s. Enjoy views over the Roman rooftops from the beautiful panorama terrace of your hotel as you sip your first Roman espresso, maybe a cappuccino or a welcome drink of your choice.

Included is a stay in a deluxe room at the family-friendly, elegant and modern, 4 star hotel Le Meridien Visconti Palace in the chic neighborhood of Prati — with daily gourmet breakfast and welcome cocktail.

It’s up to you to just explore Rome independently or with an expert local guide (guide hire not included). Rest assured, we’ll share what’s best to see and when — avoiding the crowds and making the most of your time. How about joining Mass at the Pantheon, today? Let’s not forget all the great food + drinks awaiting you in the Eternal City – we’ll include recommendations for favorite cafés, authentic Italian restaurants, where to get the best pizza al taglio, and must-try gelaterias.

One day is simply not enough to take in Vatican City with St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums, and beautiful gardens. While your auction win does not include entrance fees, we’ll help you with any arrangements you would like to make. Including special rates for the ultimate splurge: an exclusive, private after-hours visit to the Sistine Chapel. Maybe you’d like to venture to nearby Castel Gandolfo, the Papal summer residence. Another must for Catholics visiting Rome is to participate in the general Papal Audience on Wednesdays at the Vatican. We’ll put in a good word for you to get seats close(r) to the Holy Father.

You’ll bring back memories to last a lifetime from even just a week in Rome — and we’ll keep you as busy or let you relax as much as you’d like during these final days.  If you can, why not stay a little longer, and continue north to Assisi, Florence, or Venice, or head south to the Amalfi Coast. Extension cost is not included, but will be offered to SPN auction winners at preferred pricing.
